Project Background & Luxury Positioning
Situated in the prestigious Park Royal shopping district of West Vancouver, this premium commercial renovation and interior design project was masterfully executed to complement the community’s upscale lifestyle. Seamlessly fusing modern hospitality elegance with traditional culinary culture, the design creates an elite, high-end dining ambiance that delivers both privacy and intimacy.
Interior Design & Architectural Highlights
Iconic Glass-Block Feature Wall
The storefront entrance features a meticulously crafted, multi-textured glass-block partition wall. It acts as an artistic focal point that maximizes natural light refraction while maintaining privacy for diners. The custom "BIG WAY - PARK ROYAL" backlit metal signage, paired with artisanal terracotta-toned tiles, establishes an unforgettable brand statement.
Exposed Ceiling & Bespoke Lighting
The dining area celebrates a sophisticated contrast between an open industrial ceiling and custom geometric neon light installations. Plush, custom-fabricated moss-green leather booths with brushed brass trimming elevate the spatial rhythm and add a layer of tailored luxury.
Franchise Expertise & Streamlined Synergy (10+ Stores Deep)
The Park Royal location marks the 10th+ successful store delivery by our team for the Big Way Hot Pot franchise. This extensive track record brings unparalleled operational advantages: Flawless Equipment Integration: Having built over ten locations, our team possesses an intuitive, expert-level understanding of Big Way’s specialized commercial kitchen layouts, complex exhaust networks, and custom smart hot pot equipment, ensuring zero-error rough-ins. Accelerated Execution: Years of collaboration have created an effortless synergy between our construction crew and the client’s operations team, drastically reducing communication friction and accelerating the project timeline without sacrificing corporate brand standards.
Value Engineering & Strategic Cost Optimization
To maximize the client's cost savings within Vancouver's highly competitive and high-cost construction market, our team implemented a clever value engineering strategy: Infrastructure Retention: We intelligently retained the ceiling's original structural form and fully utilized the pre-existing, functional HVAC ventilation ductwork. By texturing and refinishing the exposed infrastructure, we achieved a chic modern aesthetic while saving the client thousands in demolition and drywall framing labor. Global Supply Chain Optimization: Sourcing and sea-freighting premium finishes directly from top-tier suppliers in China allowed us to bypass local procurement markups, successfully maintaining the mall's rigorous high-end criteria at a fraction of the cost.
Meticulous BOH Craftsmanship & Ergonomics
High standards extend well into the operational heart of the restaurant. The kitchen and prep stations feature premium, heavy-duty stone countertops. To ensure staff safety and long-term durability, all stone edges underwent precise bullnose/rounded edge cutting and polishing. This meticulous detail prevents chipping, minimizes workplace hazards, and exemplifies our commitment to structural durability.
Universal Design & Strict Compliance
Demonstrating true inclusivity and strict adherence to top-tier mall standards and the BC Building Code, the space features a fully accessible, barrier-free restroom facility. From spatial clearances to compliant grab bars, every detail was optimized to ensure comfort, safety, and a premium experience for all guests, proving that true luxury lies in thoughtful design.
