As a major artery connecting Vancouver and Burnaby, the Kingsway location faces immense pressure from high-frequency foot traffic. During the renovation process, our biggest challenge was preventing bottlenecks within the elongated layout. Right Rock Construction implemented a precise design strategy, dividing the interior into modular zones and introducing an innovative "Wide-Path Self-Selection Area" paired with a "Fast-Track Weighing Island." This clear, unidirectional flow significantly reduces perceived wait times and enhances coordination between the front-of-house and kitchen. By preserving certain structural elements of the original building, we minimized interior construction costs while utilizing industrial-grade materials to extend the store's lifespan, maximizing overall commercial value.
