Yang Fu Ji Fusion Cuisine (Burnaby)

Y&Y Construction delivered Yang Fu Ji Fusion Cuisine as a complete restaurant project encompassing design, construction and project management. The work extended beyond interior finishes to include the commercial kitchen, building services, equipment installation and the completed dining environment. Design was completed over three weeks, followed by a three-month construction program, and the restaurant opened in September 2026.

Keeping design and construction under one project team allowed spatial development, construction planning, trade coordination and site decisions to move through a single delivery process. Kitchen and equipment requirements were considered alongside partitions, finishes and customer areas so the design direction could be carried consistently into construction.

The technical scope included plumbing, electrical and gas work, the commercial kitchen, exhaust system and equipment installation. These systems were coordinated with partitions, flooring, wall construction and interior finishes, with ongoing site coordination used to sequence the trades and integrate the operational components into the restaurant layout.

Beyond the kitchen and building systems, the interior work covered the partitions, floors, walls and decorative finishes throughout the restaurant. The completed space brings together an open main dining room, planted booth seating and private dining areas, using warm wood, terracotta tones, woven details and layered lighting to create a consistent environment from entrance to table.
